Macie, Dillan and Dakotah
Mommy and Daddy told my brothers and sister about us tonight. We were all a little nervous about how they would react. It’s been a long time since there has been a baby in their house and now there will be two of us. They took the news really well. Dakotah said it was cool, Dillan thinks we’re weird because we’ll be identical, and Macie really, really wants us to be girls. :) We’ll see how excited they are when we are born and start crying. We are going to have so much fun with our brothers and sister. We already love them very much and can’t wait to play with them. Dakotah said he would take us hunting, even if we’re girls. Macie says that she will have fun pushing us in the stroller and she wants to hold us all the time. Dillan still just thinks we’re weird, but we’re hoping he will teach us how to build things with legos. :)

Big Week Ahead
Mommy is starting to feel better. Sweet for Mommy! She is also starting to have more energy. Daddy says it is good to have Mommy back. Silly Daddy, she was never lost. :) We’re getting ready for our Christmas surprises and Mommy and Daddy finished everything up tonight.
This week our bones will begin to harden and even though our skin is still very transparent, our fingers and toes will be completely separated. Mommy still can’t feel us moving, but we are very active. We have to move as much as we can while there is still room enough to do it. :) We will be about two and a half inches long and we weigh about a half of an ounce by the end of the week. Can you believe this is already week 11?

The Ward Christmas Party
Mommy and Daddy were in charge of the Ward Christmas party this year and today, they have been busy setting up and getting ready. They have had lots of great help and everything went fabulous. The program was awesome and afterwards my Daddy’s nephew Jason and his daughter came over and played games with us. It was really fun!
Mommy and Daddy are still keeping us a secret, but it is getting really hard for Mommy not to tell. She is starting to get really excited and she wants to share the news, but we all agreed to keep it a secret until Christmas. One more week and we can tell. Patience, Mommy, patience.
When Mommy lies on her back, she can feel a little bulge in her tummy…that’s us! :) We have fingernails and toenails now and our hair is starting to grow. Our fingers are no longer webbed and we can swallow and kick our little legs. We are about 2 inches long, about the size of a lime and we weigh about a quarter of an ounce a piece. We’re going to get bigger, and bigger and bigger! :)

Graduation Day!
We’re officially graduating from embryos to fetuses. Pretty cool huh? The majority of our vital organs are functioning and will continue to mature as we grow in our Mommy’s tummy. Our heads are half the length of our bodies right now, but as our bodies continue to grow, they will become about a third of our length by the time we’re born. All these changes are very exhausting, but it’s necessary. Heavenly Father told us it would be a lot of work and he was right!
Mommy is still sick, but luckily it has not been in her lungs at all. She is really, really forgetful though. She went to pick up Grandpa’s Christmas present for Grandma and locked her keys in the car. Daddy had to come rescue her.

Mommy Gets Sick
Poor Mommy! We have been so good to her, but she got a head cold and she can’t take anything for it because of us. She is a little loopy and she is trying to get the Christmas shopping done for my siblings. Daddy has been so good to her too. He has been very patient and he’s very protective. We love our Daddy! He helped Mommy a lot today and she is so grateful to have him…and us. :)
Today is also Aunt Jill’s and Grandma Ann’s birthdays. Happy Birthday to both of you from us!!
All of our little joints are working and we can move around, but Mommy still can’t feel us yet. Our hearts have divided into four chambers and we’re working on developing our heart valves. We can also make a fist now and we’re learning how to suck on our thumbs. There is still plenty of room for both of us. We are about the size of a grape, a little over an inch and a half from our head to our rump and we each weigh a fraction of an ounce. :)

Mommy’s First Doctors Appointment
Today was Mommy’s first doctor’s appointment and she was really nervous. Her regular doctor doesn’t deliver babies anymore, so she had to find a new one. Daddy came with her to our appointment. First, we met with our ultrasound technician. Her name is Darla and she was very nice. She started the ultrasound and asked Mommy if any twins ran in her family. Mommy looked at Daddy like “What were you discussing while I was changing?” Daddy didn’t say anything, but Darla laughed. She said, “No honey, that question is for you.” Mom told her she had a couple of cousins who had fraternal twins. Darla started moving the ultrasound around and said, “Congratulations, here is baby one and baby two!”
SURPRISE MOMMY AND DADDY!!!!! THERE ARE TWO OF US – TWINS!!!!!
Mommy was so shocked, she couldn’t say anything for almost 10 minutes. We giggled, the look on her face was so funny to us. Daddy was like a rock – he was so calm. Darla told them everything looked really good. She could tell we were identical because we share the same placenta but have different sacs. She said Mommy and we were about 9 weeks along and we’re the 17th set of twins their clinic was taking care of right now. She measured our heartbeats and they are really fast – between a 140-160 beats per minute. Then Darla nudged us with the ultrasound wand and we started squirming and Mommy and Daddy got to see us move for the very first time. After Darla measured us and said everything looked really good. She took some pictures of us. I’m not sure she knows how to work the camera, because we came out all fuzzy. LOL :)

After Darla was done with our ultrasound, Mommy got dressed, we moved into the doctor’s exam room. While we were waiting for the doctor to come in, Mommy started feeling overwhelmed and she burst into tears. All she could do was look at the ultrasound pictures and cry. Daddy just hugged her (and us) and said everything would work out and we were a great blessing. Daddy’s right…we’re completely AWESOME!!! :)
When Dr. Merrill came in, she put Mommy right at ease and we all liked her right away. I think she’ll take good care of us. She answered all our questions and told Mommy to come back in 3 weeks. Mommy was a little dazed the rest of the day. Daddy sent her a text message to tell her he never expected to be this excited about twins. I think it is finally starting to sink in for Mommy. We had a really hard time keeping this all a secret! Whew! We’re glad they know now!

We Love Family
We went to Grandpa & Grandma Jones’ for dinner again. This time my brothers and sister were with us. Quinn and Kari were the only ones who were missing and it was a fun evening. We had lots of good food left over from my Grandparent’s Ward Christmas Party and we had so much fun. Uncle DJ was teasing Mommy about needing to have a baby and Daddy and Mommy just smiled. Ha, ha…they are going to be so surprised!
I’m beginning to look more like a little person, since my embryonic tail is now completely gone. My eyelids are completely formed and have fused shut. They will reopen during the 28th week of my development.

I’m Still Changing
I have all my organs and tissue present that I will need as an adult. They will still continue to develop as I get bigger, but everything is here. I’ve been busy, busy, busy! My ears are continuing to form inside and out. I have a little tip of a nose and my eyelids are more developed. My bones are starting to grow and my muscles are contracting. My little fingers and toes are still webbed, but they are growing longer. And guess what?...My little tail is disappearing and I’m starting to straighten out. I’m still really small though. I’m a little over an inch long from the top of head down to my bum, but I’m still curled up a little so I roughly the size of bean. Pretty funny, huh? :)

Tired, Tired Mommy
My mommy is soooo tired all the time! Dad says she’s like a baby…all she does is sleep and pee, but it’s a lot of work to make me. Did you know that Mommy’s blood volume has increased by 40-50 percent? Her kidneys are working overtime to keep her blood clean and that is why she spends so much time in the bathroom. Right now her uterus (that’s the place in her tummy where I’m safe and sound) is the size of a grapefruit. It is normally the size of her fist, so my little home is getting bigger, but nobody can tell I’m here yet! Mommy was so tired today, she went in Donevan’s office and took a nap on her lunch hour. I think we both needed the sleep. :)

Shopping with Grandma
Daddy went fishing today with my brothers Dakotah and Dillan; so Mommy and I went shopping with Grandma Jean. Grandma is so excited about having a new little grandbaby, that she bought a whole bunch of flannel to make baby blankets. She was telling everyone about my little cousin. Mommy smiled…Grandma still doesn’t know she has me on the way too! J

Happy News!
Today we went to Grandpa & Grandma Jones’ for Thanksgiving dinner, and guess what?! Aunt Kari is pregnant! Woo Hoo! I’m going to have a little cousin to play with that is exactly my age. :) I’m really excited! My little cousin hasn’t been as nice to his mommy as I’m being to mine. Aunt Kari has been sick, sick, sick. Poor Aunt Kari… :( Mommy was able to still keep me a secret, and we got to eat lots of good food and yummy pies. Uncle Quinn checked out the Chinese Birth Chart and did the pencil test on Aunt Kari and both said boy, but Aunt Kari really wants a little girl. They will have to wait until later to find out for sure. Hee, hee!

Week 7
It's hard to believe it's been 7 weeks already! Well technically, it is less than that, but Mommy has to go by the 1st day of her last period since know one but me really knows when I was conceived. :) I have still been really nice to Mommy - no morning sickness.
I'm changing every day. At this point, every essential organ in my body has begun to form and I'm also working on my eyelids, tongue and my hair and nipple follicles. The trunk of my body is starting to straighten out and my elbows and toes are more visible. I can't wait to play "This Little Piggy" and suck on my fingers!
Can you believe I'm an inch long! The most incredible thing is I weigh less than an asprin right now. LOL

Movie Night
Aunt Darrelyn was staying at our house last night and she brought a movie called "17 Miracles" about the Willie & Martin Handcart companies. We watched it last night and Mommy cried. She gets pretty emotional during those type of movies. One of the rescuers was called Ephriam and Daddy said if I was a boy, he liked that name. Mommy liked it too. :) They both agreed that they wouldn't settle on one name; however, until I'm born and they see what my little personality tells them. They will just have to wait and see. I already know what my name is...I'll tell them when I'm ready. :)

Mommy Called the Doctor & the Doctor Said...
Mommy finally realized I'm not going anywhere. :) She called her doctor and set up an appointment for Wednesday, December 7th. Daddy is going to come too. It will be exciting for them to get more information about me, although I already know everything about me - they don't - ha, ha, ha. :)
Mommy keeps looking for changes in her body to show that I'm there, but she is just going to have to be patient. I'm too small for her to see anything yet. She can feel her body making adjustments, but nothing visible - it's all on the inside and we have a long way to go. Patience, Mommy, patience. :)
Mommy is excited to find out if I'm a boy or a girl, but I'm still keeping that a secret. She found a Chinese prediction calendar on the Internet that said I'm a girl....hmmm....we'll just have to wait and see.
Daddy is betting against her, he thinks I'm a boy, but he really doesn't care one way or the other. He's just excited I'm coming. He's been very protective of Mommy. He makes sure she is eating healthy and taking her vitamins. They love to snuggle and I always get to be right in the middle with them. :) I love my Mommy and Daddy!

Happy Days
Now that Mommy knows I'm here, she is excited, but a little nervous still. She's afraid I will go away. It could happen, but right now everything is okay. :) Except for her breasts still being tender, Mommy still hasn't had any other symptoms. Which is okay, because she doesn't like being sick - who does? She's had a million questions and she has been looking stuff up on the Internet. She's not ready to call her doctor yet, but she needs to call soon - it will help put her mind at ease.
I'm still growing! I've been working on my lungs, jaw, nose and palate. My hand and feet buds have started to web...these will be my fingers and toes. My brain is still continuing to form too. I'm about 3/4 of an inch long from my head to my bottom and I still look like a tadpole. If Mommy went to the doctor today, she could hear my heartbeat on ultrasound. How cool is that?

She Figured It Out!
Daddy made a comment to Mommy last night that made her a little nervous. She was so worried, she didn't sleep very well. She knows, but she is still hoping she is wrong. I just think she doesn't want to get her hopes up. Mommy has never had a baby before. :) But I have 2 half-brothers and a half-sister from my Daddy. I wonder if they'll like me?
Anyway, back to Mommy...she left for work early today so she could buy a pregnancy test and confirm I was there. You should have seen the look on her face when it went positive so fast. She started shaking and wondering how she was going to tell Daddy. She suspects Daddy already knows and was just waiting for her to realize it too. I told you Daddy was smart! :)
Mommy drove over to Daddy's work and showed him the pregnancy test...then she started crying and said she was sorry. Daddy just smiled and hugged her and called her Mommy for the first time. She liked that. :) Daddy said I'm a blessing and that is the only way they are going to look at it. They decided to wait to tell everyone until Mommy and I are further along. I love keeping secrets! I'm good at it. ;)

Mommy is a Little Worried
I think Mommy is finally starting to suspect, but she's still in denial. She's a little nervous. She wants to be pregnant, but at the same time she knows Daddy and she were planning on waiting a little bit longer. They have only been married for 5 months, but Mommy is 38 and like my Grandpa Vern says, her eggs are getting crusty. LOL - I'm not crusty and I'm already here. :) She'll get used to the idea, once she gets over the shock.
Mommy is still really not having a lot of symptoms. Her breasts have been a little tender, but that is because they're getting ready for me. My little body is doing a lot of changing right now and Mommy's body is preparing to change, but nobody can tell. :)

A Close Call
Daddy asked Mommy if she was pregnant today because her period is late? It startled her and she said no, she could tell she was getting ready to start any day by her symptoms. Ha, ha - Daddy is smarter than Mommy, but he didn't say any thing else. I'll bet he's just waiting for her to figure it out on for herself. ;) She's been having light cramps, but she hasn't realized that its just her belly making room for me to grow. Guess what? I've doubled in size this week. I'm now a whopping 1/8 of an inch big. I'm still changing and growing. I look like a tadpole and my little heart is beating. I'm starting to make eyes and ears, and my bones are starting to form. I think any time now Mommy is going to realize I'm here.

Trick or Treat
I've been very nice to my Mommy. Some mommys start getting sick and noticing other signs, but not my Mommy. :) That's my little treat. The trick is she still suspects nothing. LOL She keeps thinking any day now...
...Ya, any day now she'll figure it out! Hee, hee! :)

Boy Am I Tired
I started forming my arms and legs today, but they are still too small for you to really tell they are there. I also started making a placenta. Its what lets me get nourishment from my mommy while I'm still growing and living inside her, and believe me, I need it!
Mommy could find out I was here if she suspected, but right now she still thinks that she's going to start her period any day. :) I love it!
I'm getting bigger too! I'm about 1/16 of an inch, which is still pretty small, but its pretty amazing when you think how much I've done in two short weeks. Isn't this fun?
